What file types can I upload for my business's KYB documents?
KYB documents (formation and ownership documents) must be a PDF, JPEG, PNG, HEIC/HEIF or TIFF file no larger than 15MB — Office document formats are not accepted.

When uploading supporting documents for your business's KYB application (such as formation documents or ownership documents), Paysavo only accepts a specific set of file types:
- JPEG
- PNG
- HEIC / HEIF (common iPhone photo formats)
- TIFF
Office document formats (Word, Excel, etc.) are not accepted. This is deliberate — those formats can carry macros, and a compliance reviewer opening a document you've uploaded is exactly the situation Paysavo avoids exposing to that risk. If you have a document in an Office format, export or print it to PDF before uploading.
Size limits
Your file must be larger than a trivial/empty file and no larger than 15MB. If your file is too large, try compressing it or exporting at a lower resolution (for a scanned document, a PDF is usually far smaller than a raw image).
A few other things to know
- Documents can only be uploaded while your application is still editable (Draft, Information required, Ready to submit, or Action required) — once submitted and locked for review, you cannot add or replace documents until a reviewer either approves it or sends it back with action required.
- The file type Paysavo checks is based on the actual contents of the file, not just its filename or extension — renaming a file to "document.pdf" will not make an unsupported file type acceptable.
