Why a business owner's verification status can differ from their personal Paysavo account status

A business owner's KYB identity-verification status is tracked entirely separately from that same person's personal Paysavo account verification and is never copied from it.

Short answer: A business owner's identity-verification status on a Business (KYB) application is tracked completely separately from that same person's own personal Paysavo account verification. Paysavo never copies one into the other, so it's entirely possible for someone to be fully verified on their personal account while still showing as needing action on the business application - for example if their ID has since expired, or the business application needs additional evidence that the personal check didn't require.

How it works: A business owner's verification status is one of: not started, not required (for a company/entity shareholder, who is verified indirectly through the individuals behind it), invited, in progress, verified, expired, rejected, or action required. Only "verified" and "not required" count as satisfied for submitting the business application - every other status means the owner still needs to do something.
