Searching for an eSIM: how country and destination search works
You can search Paysavo eSIM plans by a full country name (e.g. "Japan"), a 2-letter country code, or a plan/operator name — there's no fixed list of "popular destinations"; what's shown is generated from what's actually available and on sale right now.
When browsing or searching for a Paysavo eSIM, you can type any of the following into search:
- A country name, like "Japan" or "France" — Paysavo matches this against its own list of country names, not just an exact string.
- A 2-letter country code, like "JP" or "FR".
- A plan or network operator name.
You can also filter results by plan type (Local, Regional, or Global) and by destination.
The destination list is not hand-picked
The "popular destinations" shown on the eSIM home page are not a fixed, manually maintained list. They're generated from what's currently for sale, ranked by which destinations are actively featured and how many plans are available for each — so a destination with no plans currently on sale simply won't appear, and the list updates automatically as the catalogue changes rather than needing someone to edit it.
