Is eSIM purchase available in my country?
eSIM purchasing is only open to accounts whose own country is on an explicit allow-list Paysavo configures — it's off by default and never silently available everywhere.
## Direct answer
Whether you can buy a Paysavo eSIM depends on your account's own country (not the destination you're traveling to), and only countries Paysavo has explicitly enabled are eligible. Browse plans in the app to see your current eligibility — if eSIM isn't enabled for your country, the buy flow will let you know rather than fail unexpectedly partway through.
## How it works
Eligibility is checked against your account's country, not the destination on the eSIM plan you're browsing — someone in Canada buying a Japan eSIM is gated on being in an eligible country themselves. This is deliberately designed to "fail closed": if the eligible-country list is ever empty or misconfigured, nobody is admitted rather than everybody. Not knowing a customer's country is also treated as a refusal, not an approval (app/Domain/Esim/Support/EsimEligibility.php). Eligibility can additionally depend on your account type, and in some rollout phases on being part of a specific pilot group.
We intentionally don't publish a static list of eligible countries here — availability is admin-configured and can change, so the accurate list is always the one shown live when you browse plans in the app, not a list frozen in this article.
