Understanding your eSIM order status (Preparing, Confirming, Ready to install...)
An eSIM purchase or top-up moves through several statuses — you'll never be charged twice even if it seems to take a while to confirm, because Paysavo deliberately waits to hear back from the eSIM provider before treating anything as failed.
After you buy an eSIM or top up an existing one, your order moves through a small number of statuses you can check under My eSIMs / order history. Here's what each one means in plain language:
- Preparing your eSIM — your order has been created and your wallet may have just been debited; nothing has been sent to the eSIM provider yet.
- Confirming your eSIM order — Paysavo is submitting your order to the eSIM provider, or the provider has accepted it and is still processing it, or Paysavo hasn't yet gotten a clear answer back from the provider about whether it went through.
- Ready to install — your eSIM (or top-up) was created successfully and is ready to use.
- Order failed — the provider was asked directly and confirmed the order did not go through.
- Refund in progress / Refunded — a refund has been approved and is being (or has been) credited back to your wallet.
- Under review — a person needs to look at your order before it can move forward.
Why "Confirming" can take longer than expected
If Paysavo's connection to the eSIM provider times out or returns an error it can't interpret, that is not treated as proof your order failed — the provider may well have created it anyway. Rather than guess and risk refunding money for an eSIM you actually received, Paysavo holds the order at "Confirming" and runs an automatic check that asks the provider directly what actually happened, before deciding whether the order succeeded, failed, or needs a person to look at it.
This means: you will not be charged twice, and the system deliberately will not let you retry a purchase while it's still confirming — that safeguard exists specifically to prevent buying a second eSIM by accident while the first one's outcome is still being confirmed.
What to do next
If your order has been stuck on "Confirming your eSIM order" for an unusually long time, or shows "Under review", you don't need to do anything on your end — it will resolve automatically once the provider check completes, or a person will review it. If you're unsure or it's been a long time, reach out with your order reference and support can check the current status.
