Why is there a minimum amount for crypto withdrawals?

Every crypto withdrawal has a minimum amount, based on the underlying network/provider's own minimum plus the network fee, so the amount actually sent is never negative or worthless — the exact minimum for your asset and network is shown before you confirm.

On this page

Crypto withdrawals have a minimum amount, which depends on the specific asset and network you're withdrawing on. This exists because a withdrawal needs to cover the network fee and still leave a meaningful amount to actually send — the exact minimum for your situation is shown to you when you preview the withdrawal.

How it works

  • The minimum is based on the underlying network's own minimum sendable amount for that asset, plus the network fee that will be deducted, so what's left after the fee is never zero or negative.
  • Paysavo may also apply its own minimum on top of that, if one is configured for that asset/network — whichever is higher is what actually applies.
  • This minimum is calculated fresh for your specific asset, network, and amount, so it can differ from one network to another for the very same asset.

Troubleshooting

  • "Amount is below the minimum withdrawal requirement after network fee." Increase the amount you're withdrawing — the preview screen shows the current minimum for your selected asset and network.
  • If a minimum seems unexpectedly high for a network you've used before, network fees can change over time, which shifts the minimum along with it.
