Why does my crypto trade show as "Partial Fill"?

A Partial Fill means your buy, sell, or swap order matched in the market before it fully completed at your requested amount — Paysavo settles the portion that did fill and reflects that in your balance rather than leaving the whole trade unresolved.

On this page

"Partial Fill" means your buy, sell, or swap order was matched in the market for less than the full amount you requested, and Paysavo settled that portion rather than leaving the trade unresolved. It's a normal outcome for a market-executed trade, not an error.

How it works

  • When you confirm a crypto trade, it's submitted as a market order. Most of the time it fills completely and shows as Completed.
  • Occasionally, only part of the order matches in the market. When that happens, Paysavo settles you for the portion that actually filled — the corresponding amount is debited from what you're trading away and credited to what you're receiving, based on the real fill, not the amount you originally requested.
  • This is shown to you as a distinct "Partial Fill" status so it's clear the settled amount may be less than what you asked for, rather than looking identical to a fully completed trade.

What to do next

  • Check your updated balance and trade details — they reflect the amount that actually filled, which is the final, settled outcome for that trade.
  • If you intended to trade the full original amount, you may need to place an additional trade for the remaining portion — Paysavo doesn't automatically retry or top up a partially filled trade for you.
  • If a trade has shown "Partial Fill" for an unusually long time without settling, or the filled amount looks wrong, contact Paysavo support with your trade reference.
