Why do I need a verification code to add, edit, or remove a crypto withdrawal address?

Adding, editing, or removing a saved crypto withdrawal address always requires an email code, and an authenticator app code as well if you have one set up, because Paysavo treats it as a beneficiary change, not a routine edit.

On this page

Saving, editing, or removing an address in your crypto withdrawal address book always requires a one-time email verification code, and — if you already have an authenticator app set up — an authenticator (2FA) code as well. This isn't a bug or an extra hoop for routine changes: Paysavo treats any change to your saved withdrawal addresses as a security-sensitive "beneficiary change," the same category of action as a crypto withdrawal itself, because a new saved address is somewhere your funds could be sent.

How it works

When you add a new address, Paysavo first checks that the address format actually matches the network you selected. You'll then be asked for a 6-digit code sent to your account email. If you already have an authenticator app enrolled, you'll also be asked for the current code from that app — this step uses the same kind of one-time code as a crypto withdrawal, not a passkey. If you haven't set up an authenticator app yet, the email code alone may be enough, depending on your account's current security settings.

Removing or editing an existing saved address goes through the same email (and, if enrolled, authenticator) verification — it's the same beneficiary-change check either way, not something limited to adding a brand-new address.

If it doesn't seem to be requiring the code you have

If you have an authenticator app set up but the address-book screen only asks for an email code, or the reverse, this is controlled by your account's security configuration rather than being inconsistent — contact Paysavo support if the behavior seems wrong for your account.
