Why was my crypto withdrawal rejected after manual review, and are my funds returned?
If a withdrawal that was placed into manual review is rejected rather than approved, the full amount is automatically credited back to your Paysavo balance and the withdrawal is marked rejected — you don't need to take any action to get the funds back.
On this page
A crypto withdrawal that was held for manual review (see 'Why is my crypto withdrawal pending?') can end one of two ways: it's approved and released for processing, or it's rejected. If it's rejected, you keep your funds — they're returned to your Paysavo balance automatically as part of the rejection itself.
How it works
Larger withdrawals can be placed into a routine manual review step before being released, as a normal control rather than a sign something is wrong with your account. When a reviewer rejects a withdrawal that was in this state:
- The full amount originally set aside for that withdrawal is credited back to your wallet balance, automatically, as part of processing the rejection — you don't need to contact support to get it returned.
- The withdrawal's status changes to rejected, and a reason for the rejection is recorded internally.
- You should see a notification about this outcome, and the withdrawal will show as failed/rejected in your transaction history rather than pending.
This is different from a withdrawal being declined immediately at submission (see 'Why was my crypto withdrawal declined instead of going through?') — that happens before anything reaches manual review at all (for example, insufficient balance or an unsupported network), whereas a rejection specifically happens after a withdrawal was already accepted into the manual review queue.
What to do next
- Check your wallet balance and transaction history — the returned funds should already be reflected there once the rejection has been processed.
- If your withdrawal shows as rejected but you don't see the funds back in your available balance after a reasonable amount of time, contact Paysavo support with the withdrawal reference so it can be checked.
- If you'd like to understand the specific reason your withdrawal was rejected, contact support — the reason is recorded on Paysavo's side even though it isn't necessarily shown automatically in the app.
