Can I buy or sell crypto before I've completed full identity verification, even though I can't withdraw yet?

Yes — buying, selling, and swapping crypto only require the base level of identity verification that unlocks crypto access at all; withdrawing crypto to an external address requires an additional, higher verification tier that trading does not.

On this page

If your account can view and trade crypto but a withdrawal is blocked pending further verification, that's expected — Paysavo requires more verification for withdrawing crypto off the platform than it does for buying, selling, or swapping crypto you already hold.

How it works

Access to crypto features on Paysovo is gated in layers. The base layer — viewing your crypto balance, and buying, selling, or swapping between assets — only requires the identity verification that unlocks crypto access at all. Withdrawing crypto to an external wallet address is gated by a separate, additional check on top of that: your account's verification must reach a higher tier before a withdrawal is allowed to proceed, even though trading was already available to you. This is why you might be able to freely buy and sell, yet still see a withdrawal blocked pending further verification — it's two different gates, not one.

What to do next

  • If you only want to trade for now, you don't need to do anything further — trading works at your current verification level.
  • If you're trying to withdraw and it's blocked, complete the additional identity verification Paysavo asks for (see the KYC & Account Verification category, and 'Crypto withdrawal verification requirements') — that's what unlocks withdrawals specifically.
