I lost access to my authenticator app and can't withdraw crypto

The emailed verification code is always required for crypto withdrawals; a Google Authenticator code is only additionally required if your account already has it enabled — if you never set it up, losing an authenticator app you don't use doesn't block withdrawals.

Whether losing access to your Google Authenticator app blocks a crypto withdrawal depends on whether your account actually requires it for withdrawals in the first place. The emailed verification code is always required either way.

How it works

  • Every crypto withdrawal requires the one-time code sent to your account email — this part is unaffected by your authenticator app.
  • A Google Authenticator code is only additionally required if your account has Google Authenticator already set up and Paysavo's security policy calls for it on withdrawals. If you've never set up Google Authenticator, this simply doesn't apply to you, and losing an app you never used for it won't block your withdrawal.
  • If your account does have Google Authenticator enabled and it's required for withdrawals, and you've lost access to the device with your codes, you won't be able to complete a withdrawal with a TOTP code until you regain access to your authenticator.

What to do next

  • If you're not sure whether your account requires Google Authenticator for withdrawals, the withdrawal confirmation screen will tell you what it's asking for before you submit.
  • If you do need to regain access to your authenticator (for example, using your saved 2FA recovery codes), see "I lost access to my authenticator app" in Account Security & 2FA for the recovery steps, then retry your withdrawal once access is restored.
  • If you don't have your recovery codes either, contact Paysavo support — this is treated as a sensitive account-security situation and will need additional verification.
