Buying and selling crypto on Paysavo
A crypto trade on Paysavo is a two-step flow — request a quote, then confirm it to execute — and pricing is always based on rates fetched fresh at the time of the quote.

Short answer
Buying or selling crypto on Paysavo works in two steps: you first request a quote for the trade you want, then confirm that quote to actually execute it. The price you pay or receive is the one locked in by the quote you confirmed, not whatever the market happens to be doing at the exact instant your confirmation lands.
How it works
1. Request a quote. Tell Paysavo what you want to buy or sell (and how much), and Paysavo returns a quote with an estimated amount based on live market pricing at that moment.
2. Review it. The quote is only valid for a short, fixed window — see "Why does my crypto quote expire?" for details. If it expires before you act, you'll need a fresh one.
3. Confirm to execute. Confirming the quote executes the trade at the locked-in rate. Accidentally confirming twice (for example, from a slow connection or a double tap) will not create duplicate trades.
Paysavo supports buying crypto with fiat or stablecoins, selling crypto back to fiat or stablecoins, and swapping directly between crypto assets — the underlying flow (quote, then confirm) is the same in each case.
About the prices you see
Separately from live trade pricing, the estimated USD value shown next to each asset in your wallet/portfolio list is only displayed when Paysavo has a market rate that was refreshed within the last 24 hours. If a rate is older than that, or missing, Paysavo shows that asset's value as unavailable rather than displaying an outdated number. This keeps your portfolio view honest, but it's a separate mechanism from the live quote you get when you actually go to trade.
Troubleshooting
- "Quote expired. Please refresh." — Your quote's short validity window passed before you confirmed. Just request a new quote; see "Why does my crypto quote expire?"
- An asset shows no USD value in your wallet list. — That asset's reference rate hasn't refreshed within the trust window described above; it doesn't mean anything is wrong with the asset itself, and you can typically still request a live quote to trade it.
- Wondering where your crypto actually sits once you own it? — See "How does Paysavo hold my crypto?"
- Withdrawing what you bought? — Withdrawals have their own identity-verification requirement; see "Crypto withdrawal verification requirements."
