What bank details do I need to withdraw Nigerian Naira (NGN)?

Withdrawing NGN from Paysavo pays out directly to a Nigerian bank account — you'll need to select the destination bank and provide the account number, since Paga (Paysavo's NGN payout partner) requires both.

On this page

An NGN withdrawal from Paysavo is a direct-to-bank-account payout processed through Paga, Paysavo's Nigerian Naira payment partner. Unlike an Interac e-Transfer withdrawal (which only needs an email address), an NGN withdrawal needs real bank account details.

How it works

When you submit an NGN withdrawal, Paysavo sends Paga:

  • the destination bank (selected from a bank list — Paga identifies each bank by its own bank UUID, not just a name), and
  • the destination bank account number.

Paga uses these to pay the funds directly into that bank account. Make sure both the bank and the account number are correct before submitting — an NGN withdrawal pays into whatever bank account you specify, so a wrong account number risks sending funds to the wrong recipient.

Troubleshooting

If your NGN withdrawal fails, common causes include:

  • An incorrect or invalid account number for the selected bank.
  • A temporary issue authenticating with Paga on Paysavo's side (Paysavo automatically limits repeated failed attempts against Paga to protect your account and avoid a flood of failed retries).

If your withdrawal shows an error, double check the bank and account number you entered match your intended recipient exactly, then try again. If it continues to fail, contact support with your reference number so Ops can check the payout status directly with Paga.
