Why does Paysavo say 'Nigeria Bank only supports NGN currency'?

Nigeria Bank (Paga) is a Nigerian Naira-only deposit and withdrawal method on Paysavo; selecting it for any other currency wallet is rejected before any provider call is made.

Nigeria Bank (Paga) is Paysavo's Nigerian Naira (NGN) banking partner, and it can only be used to deposit or withdraw NGN. If you try to use it with any other currency, Paysavo blocks the request before contacting Paga and shows an error such as 'Nigeria Bank only supports NGN currency'.

What to do instead

  • To deposit or withdraw NGN, make sure your active wallet/currency selection is set to NGN before choosing Nigeria Bank (Paga) as the payment method.
  • To move funds in a different currency, choose a payment method appropriate for that currency — Nigeria Bank (Paga) will not appear as usable, or will be rejected, for anything other than NGN.

This restriction exists on both deposits and withdrawals, so you'll see the same kind of message whichever direction you're trying to move funds.
