What to do if your transaction is pending
A pending transaction usually means Paysavo is still waiting on confirmation from a payment provider or network — this is a normal, expected state, not necessarily a problem.

Direct answer
Seeing Pending on a transaction — deposit, withdrawal, or transfer — generally means Paysavo has recorded the transaction but is still waiting on the underlying payment provider or network to confirm the outcome. It's a normal, expected part of processing, not by itself a sign that something has gone wrong.
How it works
Pending is a real, distinct status used consistently across both deposits and withdrawals:
- For a deposit, Pending is explicitly documented in Paysavo's own code as the correct state while a payment (for example a mobile money authorization) is waiting on webhook/provider confirmation — see [Why is my deposit still pending?](deposit-pending) for the deposit-specific mechanics.
- For a withdrawal, Pending is the initial status when a payout is created, and is also the fallback status for any provider response Paysavo's system doesn't specifically recognize — see [How withdrawal status works](how-withdrawal-status-works) for the full list of withdrawal states that can follow it (InProcess, UnderReview, ActionRequired, Success, Failed, Cancelled, Refunded/Reversed).
Paysavo's code does not define a fixed number of minutes/hours that counts as "too long" for a Pending transaction — how long it takes depends on the specific payment provider and rail involved.
What to do next
- If a deposit is Pending, see [Why is my deposit still pending?](deposit-pending).
- If a withdrawal is Pending, InProcess, or UnderReview, see [How withdrawal status works](how-withdrawal-status-works) — no action is typically needed from you.
- If a transaction has been Pending for what feels like an unusually long time, contact support with the transaction reference so we can check the status with the provider directly.
