Why can't I buy this gift card with my wallet?

A gift card is only buyable with wallets whose currency either matches the card's provider currency directly, or has an exchange rate (and, for some local currencies, an active pricing rule) configured between the two.

On this page

Not every gift card can be bought with every wallet currency you hold. Whether a specific card is buyable depends on whether Paysavo can actually price it in your wallet's currency.

How it works

Every gift card is priced by its provider in a specific currency (often USD, sometimes another major currency). For your wallet to be usable for that card:

  • Your wallet's currency must either match the card's provider currency exactly, or
  • Paysavo must have a working exchange rate between the provider's currency and your wallet's currency.

For some local wallet currencies, Paysavo also requires an explicit pricing rule (an "FX spread" configuration) to be enabled for that specific currency corridor before a card is considered buyable with it — this is a deliberate safeguard so a card is never offered at a price nobody has actually configured, rather than falling back to a rough or unintended conversion.

If none of these are in place for a given wallet/card combination, you'll see a message like "Not available with your wallet yet" (or, if you have no eligible wallet at all, "Add or enable a supported wallet to buy this gift card") on that card, and checkout for it with that wallet is blocked before you get charged.

What to do next

  • Check whether you have a wallet in one of Paysavo's supported gift-card currencies (shown in the app's gift card section) and switch to it.
  • This is a pricing/configuration gap, not a restriction on you personally — it can change over time as Paysavo adds more currency corridors.
