Buying a gift card is a two-step quote-then-confirm flow: Paysavo locks in a price for a limited window, and you confirm the same quote to complete the purchase — an expired or stale quote must be re-priced.

When you buy a gift card on Paysavo, you don't pay against a live, constantly-changing price — you first get a quote that locks in the exact amount (including any fee) for a limited time, then confirm that same quote to complete the purchase.
How it works
1. Quote. You pick a gift card and an amount; Paysavo prices it (including any fee) and returns a quote. This quote is valid for a limited window before it needs to be re-priced.
2. Confirm. You confirm the purchase against that exact quote. Paysavo checks the quote hasn't expired and that nothing about the request has changed, then charges your wallet and places the order with the gift card provider.
If you re-open the same purchase screen with the same amount before the quote expires, Paysavo will simply hand you back the same still-valid quote rather than pricing it again from scratch — you won't be charged twice or see the price flicker unnecessarily.
Troubleshooting
- "This quote has expired. Please request a new quote." — quotes are only valid for a limited time. If you take too long between getting the quote and confirming it, you'll need to go back and get a fresh one; this is expected and not a sign anything went wrong.
- Changed the amount or gift card after quoting? — a quote is only valid for the exact card, amount, and wallet it was created for. Changing any of those means a new quote is generated automatically.
- Confirmed but nothing happened? — if your confirmation used the same request as a purchase that already succeeded or is still processing, Paysavo returns that existing result rather than starting a duplicate purchase — check your gift card history before trying again.
