Completing your identity verification
How Paysavo enforces identity verification before you can use other features — two independent checks, not one.
On this page
Paysavo enforces identity verification with two independent checks, and which one you encounter depends on your account and Paysavo's current settings.
How it works
- An always-on check. If your account has been flagged as needing a fresh identity verification and you haven't finished it, opening most pages shows a verification-required screen right there, on the page you were trying to reach — you're not redirected elsewhere. This check runs regardless of any other setting. Your dashboard, the verification flow itself, and account actions like logout are always reachable so you can start or finish verifying.
- A site-wide check. Separately, when Paysavo has identity verification configured as required for everyone (not optional), an incomplete verification blocks the rest of the app more broadly: opening any page other than your dashboard sends you back to the dashboard instead of loading the page.
- Either way, the fix is the same: your dashboard is where you start or continue verification, and it's always accessible even while one of these checks is active.
What to do next
- If you haven't started, go to your dashboard and begin verification there.
- If you started but didn't finish, return to your dashboard — you'll be able to continue from where you left off.
- Once verification is complete, both checks described above stop applying. Note: a separate, narrower check can still limit specific features later if your verification needs to be refreshed — for example, if your identity document expires — even though you're otherwise verified. That's expected behavior, not a bug; see [My identity document has expired — what happens?](expired-identity-document) for how it works and how to resolve it. If a feature still seems blocked and neither of the checks above nor an expired document explains it, contact support.
