Why do minimum and maximum top-up amounts vary by country and network?

Minimum and maximum top-up amounts for mobile airtime/data are set per mobile network operator (not a single Paysavo-wide limit), so the same amount can be accepted for one network and rejected for another.

On this page

If you've noticed the minimum or maximum amount you can send changes depending on the country or mobile network you're topping up, that's expected — these limits come from each individual mobile network operator, not from a single Paysavo-wide limit.

How it works

Each mobile network operator Paysavo supports has its own minimum and maximum top-up amount (in the recipient's local currency), set by that operator/provider. When you request a quote, Paysavo checks your requested amount against that specific operator's limits before pricing it — an amount that's fine for one network can be too small or too large for another.

Troubleshooting

  • "Minimum top-up for this operator is X." — increase your amount to at least that operator's minimum and re-quote.
  • "Maximum top-up for this operator is X." — reduce your amount to that operator's maximum, or consider sending multiple smaller top-ups if you need to send more overall.
  • These limits are separate from Paysavo's own wallet transaction limits — you can be well within your own account limits and still hit an operator-specific minimum or maximum.
